NOLCARD/AED

About the operator.

A short, candid description of who runs NOLCARD/AED and how it is structured.

1. What this site is

nolcardaed.my is an online checkout for refilling Dubai public-transport nol cards from any browser. The service was set up in 2023 by a small team based in Al Karama and processes between three and four thousand top-ups in a typical month.

2. What we are not

We are independent. We are not a government department. We are not the issuer of the card. We do not have access to confidential customer data held by the issuer. Our role is narrow on purpose: collect the card number and the amount, route the payment through a UAE-licensed bank, pass a top-up instruction to a clearing partner, deliver the receipt by email.

3. The team

Four people: a product owner, two engineers and a customer-care specialist who answers in English and Arabic. None of the photos on this site are stock images of supposed employees — a small honest team is more trustworthy than a corporate gallery. The customer-care specialist answers the support number from 09:00 to 17:00 Gulf time on business days; an on-call engineer covers the other hours.

4. Pricing

The top-up service itself is free. You pay the bank-side processing fee (typically 1.5 to 2.5 percent depending on the card-issuing country) and the exact amount you want to load on the card — nothing more. There is no subscription, no markup on the AED amount, and no “convenience fee” added at the last step.

5. How we earn money

We earn a small revenue-share from the clearing partner on each successful top-up. That covers the bank fees we absorb, the engineering team and the support line. We do not sell data, we do not show advertising and we do not share email addresses with anyone outside the bank gateway and our accounting partner.

6. What we plan, what we will not do

The next thing on the roadmap is an Arabic-first redesign of the receipt PDF and a small set of corporate features for accounts that need to refill many cards in one go. We are not planning to add a wallet, a points programme, push notifications or anything else that would require an account just to make a top-up. The form on the home page will stay two fields long.

7. Talk to us

The fastest channel is email — support@nolcardaed.my. The phone +971 4 308 7700 is monitored 24/7 for billing and refund issues. WhatsApp messages to the same number are typically answered within a few hours. A press kit and a one-page company fact sheet are available on request.
